WHY DO ALMOST MOST ETHIOPIAN MOVIES END WITH SAD ENDING??????

I am just SICK AND TIRED of these movies that end with such sad sad sad ending

First and foremost, this particular movie, Rebuni, is one of the BEST or not THE BEST Ethiopian movie I have ever seen "UNTIL" the last 3 or 4 minutes. OMG...whoever decided to finish the end with that kind of ending should be literally sued

I have enjoyed, I mean enjoyed like I have never been on Ethiopian movies, until the end and cried like crazy and in the mean time so pissed on the producer of that movie. The movie teaches a lot of things and makes you like to say that you would watch it all over again or even refer it to a friend until you get to the end. The sad thing was not only that....it just happened to be so quick on the ending and with such horrible horrible sad sad sad sad story ending. I wish whoever saw this movie would tell me if I am the only one who is feeling the way I am feeling right now. On the other hand, whoever hasn't seen this movie....DO NOT WATCH IT....unless you want to cry like a baby or unless you want to be so mad on how the movie ends. Don't get me wrong, the movie is just amazing but knowing the end is just soooooooooo sad, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This is not the first time I am experiencing this and I am sure it won't be the last time, but please if someone knows how to reach these movie industries in Ethiopia and or these producers, they need to fix this kind of sad ending stories that look like its a normal thing for them and make it a habit and using it on almost every Ethiopian movies. I know you might argue that its "just" a movie, but DOES IT HAVE TO BE END WITH SUCH SAD STORIES?

This movie is just amazing on Ethiopian standard. I share the view bini but I don't agree with most of it. u are right most of Ethiopian movie stories are just crap, they shouldn't even fit for a movie script. always similar like the Indian movie and lack creativity but when it comes to lamba and rebuni I think they did a great job because its a fact we know that life is unpredictable not always life turns out the way we wanted it to be #happy endings. for example lamba is a true story u cant finish that with a happy ending. movies are the reflection of life for me so weather its good or bad they have to show the reality but my question is HOW? the quality the production the budget the acting etc all this has to be good to be a good movie. sadness is a part of life but what I advise the movie makers they have to open up their eyes and see all the other amazing stories we have as a nation as a people. nice input bini keep it coming

Tgyee you said it well...I understand life has sad and happy ending but most of movies I seen (habesha movies) have sad ending. Can't they mix it up? You said it well, "to open up their eyes and see all the other amazing stories we have as a nation as a people". Very good point!
